Blood work prior to anesthesia checks the body systems responsible for processing anesthesia.
IV catheter and fluid administration: This helps maintain blood pressure, flushes the anesthesia out of the system for faster recovery, and provides an outlet for injections in the case of an emergency.
Medication is given IV to put the patient under anesthesia.
Tracheal intubation allows administration of safe gas anesthesia and protects the airway.
Artificial tear ointment protects the eyes during surgery.
YUCK!! Teeth are covered with plaque and bacteria while gums suffer from horrible gingivitis.
An ultrasonic scalar is used to clean the teeth.The scalar also cleans under the gums towards the root of the tooth.

Monitoring equipment includes EKG, blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate and much more!
A dental chart is used to make detailed medical note.
Teeth are polished and buffed with dental paste to a smooth finish.
A doctor examines the teeth to determine whether any further attention is needed.
Digital dental X-rays look at the roots and canals of the teeth.

All X-rays are reviewed and stored in a digital medical file. The X-files can be sent to a specialist for a review if needed.

Sutures are used to repair the gums after extractions.
Presto!! A beautiful, healthy mouth!

Pain medication is given before and after the procedure to ensure complete comfort.
The patient is monitored closely while waking up from anesthesia.
A little sleepy, but almost ready to go home!
